Vision Abolition - Defend the Defenseless
Trafficking and sexual exploitation are clearly huge problems. The compassionate individuals and organizations fighting it are few. Battles must be carefully chosen. Vision Abolition’s current efforts are focused on rescuing the most at-risk individuals —most of whom were sold into the sex trade industry by their own families — and giving them a safe place to live at Homes of Hope Village in Suva, Fiji. Vision Abolition chose to begin its effort in Fiji, in part because there is a chance to truly make an impact there.

Mention Fiji and most people think “paradise.” But scratch the surface and you will find impoverished families who sell their children to survive. You will find a booming sex and pornography industry fueled by tourists eager to have sex with children. You will find laws that consider a girl to be at fault in most cases of sexual misconduct or crimes. And you will find no laws against commercial sexual exploitation of a child.

Through the dedicated efforts of faith-based organizations such as Vision Abolition, there is hope for some victims of human trafficking. The hope has started in Fiji at Homes of Hope. Women who were lost are finding new lives. Their children have a chance to grow and thrive. They are victims no more.
